Job Description
A Part - Time Facility Attendant will be the person to oversee the daily functions of Normandy Oaks and serve as the point of contact for renters and park users. Work will consist of day, nights, and weekends during park operating hours of 9 AM to 9 PM with split shifts. Essential Job Functions
A Part - Time Facility Attendant may be called upon to do any or all of the following: (These examples do not include all of the tasks which the employee may be expected to perform.)

Open and/or lock park facilities and gates as directed
Review daily schedule and plan accordingly how to complete tasks in a manner of optimizing time and resources
Responsible for any program and facility rental set-ups and take-downs
Greet and communicate with renters and park users; provide information and answer questions
Monitor park sites and mediate park usage conflicts, provide assistance and support to park patrons
Perform facility maintenance including but not limited to cleaning and restocking restrooms; disposing of trash and emptying garbage cans; wiping down tables, bleachers, picnic tables etc.
Execute athletic field maintenance as needed including but not limited to dragging fields; setting bases; lining ball fields; securing and relocating various goals; turning on/off field lights; mowing; setting and removing flags, cones and markers as needed
Execute daily tests and performance checks on the splash pad as needed, including but not limited to; running chemical water tests, backwashing pumps, cleaning off surface areas.
Patrol of premise
Monitor and report on daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment, vehicle, or property damage; theft; presence of unauthorized persons or unusual occurrences
Successfully and safely operate equipment required to complete assigned tasks including but not limited to golf carts, gators, field dragging equipment etc.
Follow written and oral directives
Thoroughly, accurately, and punctually maintain and complete all required records and reports including but not limited to work orders, safety inspections and daily activity logs
Adhere to and enforce all park safety, personnel and administrative policies, procedures, and ordinances
Demonstrate and support City of Royal Oak customer service standards
Availability to cover other facility shifts as needed
Work nights and weekends; as necessary
Assist other park departments as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
KSA
Education & Training - A Part - Time Facility Attendant, upon application, shall have the following experience and training:

High School graduate or equivalent
Must be 18 years or older
Valid Michigan driver"s license
Safety & Risk Management -
Enforce safety and risk management strategies in support of and compliance with department policies, procedures, and ordinances
Familiarity with and effective implementation of the employee safety manual
Demonstrate safe work habits including the usage of Personal Protective Equipment
Promptly report hazardous conditions, accidents, property damage or patron injuries to supervisor; immediately address hazardous conditions as directed
Promptly submit completed incident/accident report forms to the supervisor
Contact police or fire departments in the event of an emergency; assist with emergency procedures
Render First Aid, CPR, or other emergency assistance as necessary

Specific vision abilities required by this job close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. 90% standing and walking ; 10% reading and sitting at a computer.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to chemical fumes and airborne particles, dust, dirt, pollen, toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Additional Information
Hours: Split scheduling to cover park hours of 9 AM to 9 PM depending on facility schedule and/or weekends various times. (Facility schedule will be known in advance)
Season: July - September
