Job Title: Building Attendant
Department: Community Services (Facilities)
Employment Status: Part-time
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Hours: Monday – Friday flexible schedule; various weekend hours as scheduled
Pay Range: $15.00 per hour
Scope of Work
Responsible for overseeing the security of the building, parks, patrons, instructors and rental set-up/take down for various events. Hours worked will range from 25 – 28 hours per week or as needed for special events.
Supervision Received
Reports to the Facility Supervisor
Requirements of Work
Education: High School diploma
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- General maintenance and cleaning of facility (inside and outside) through completing daily checklist, including but not limited to; maintaining wash rooms, sweeping, vacuuming, taking out garbage, removal of snow/ice, etc.
- Open the facility thirty (30) minutes before the scheduled program and close the facility at the conclusion of the program
- Check all rooms before recreational use begins and after
- Monitors facility rentals
- Check all facility doors and lights to ensure they are locked and off
- Assists in set-up and take down of events/programming
- Monitors inventory of facility supplies
- Onsite attendant for rentals to include, but not limited to; customer service, check in and out
- Communicate any issues concerning the use of the facility/parks to the supervisor
- Perform all job duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Experience working and cleaning in a recreational facility and park
- Perform physical assignments including moving tables and chairs, recreational equipment and cartons of office and building maintenance supplies
- Must be certified in First Aid and CPR
- Excellent verbal communication skills
Necessary Special Requirements
Valid driver’s license; ability to pass a drug screen, physical and background check
