The School District of Whitefish Bay The School District of Whitefish Bay is looking for a full-time Paraprofessional II / Personal Care Assistant (Cross Categorical/Special Education Para) at Cumberland Elementary School working 7.00 hours per day with students in K4-5th grade. Ideal candidates are committed to supporting students with a range of needs. There is great joy and satisfaction in this position, helping students access learning in multiple settings throughout the building and outside at recess. Strong candidates are flexible, student centered, and interested in developing new skills and knowledge.
Working under the direction of a Special Education Teacher and reporting to the Principal/Associate Principal, this person implements strategies and supports, maintains procedures and routines, and assists students in all areas of the school day.
This is a benefit eligible position. The work schedule for this position corresponds to the student calendar. This Paraprofessional position works 7.00 hours per day plus a 30 minute unpaid lunch period, starting and ending approximately with the student day.

Prior experience in the field is beneficial but not required. The successful candidate will have DPI certification as a Special Education Program Aide or have required qualifications to attain certification and be responsible for application costs.
