Job Description – Special Education Paraprofessional

The Camphill School is seeking a full-time Special Education Paraprofessional to join our team. The Camphill School is a residential and day school for students ages 5-18 with moderate to severe intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Come and join our dedicated staff caring for one of our 90 students on our rural school campus in Chester County. The Camphill School has a unique educational program providing an adaptive Waldorf curriculum. Traditional academic subjects are balanced with a strong art and music program and a practical hands-on approach.

The Camphill School currently has openings for Special Education Paraprofessionals to start on January 9, 2023.

The Special Education Paraprofessional is a support staff position that assists students in the classroom with daily living skills, and educational, recreational, and cultural activities. We are looking for a dynamic individual who wants to make a difference in the lives of others and is respectful and supportive of students with special needs in context of our educational program. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors rain or shine, being creative, and is culturally responsive.

This position reports to the HR Administrator, and coordinates daily tasks with the Classroom Teacher who supervises the classroom.

Start Date: January 9, 2023

Job Type: Full-time, Monday through Friday 8:15AM-4:15PM

Salary Range: $17-$20 Per hour depending upon education and experience
