These are full time positions offering competitive salary and excellent benefits. Paramedics work as part of the hospital staff, providing emergency evaluation and treatment to patients in a critical access rural health care setting. Position to include share time between hospital and emergency setting.
Current National Registry licensure as an EMT-P or State Licensure with both the Department of Public Safety/EMS and the SD Board of Osteopathic and Medical Examiners.
BLS,ACLS, PALS, or PEPP, PHTLS certification preferred, we also offer training.
Must have the ability to carry out effective principles and methods of emergency medical services. Have the ability to conduct positive communications and public relations under difficult and stressful situations. Must be able to observe the scene and make note of the mechanism of injury. Assessing each call situation to determine the best course of action and appropriate protocol.
Will perform a variety of medical procedures, using a variety of medical equipment to include but not be limited to wound care and dressing, starting IV lines, operating a defibrillator, BP machine, glucometer, cardiac monitor, ventilator, I-stat etc.
Collaborate with physicians, other healthcare professionals and emergency personnel in a variety of situations.
Computer proficiency is needed as Mobridge Regional Hospital is part of a sophisticated EMR System.
