Job description
SJS Executives, LLC (SJS), is currently seeking 15 painters for three locations within the Greater Los Angeles VA healthcare system.
SJS is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with 250 employees coast to coast and a headquarters in Virginia Beach, Virginia; it specializes in professional services to support federal and military organizations.
This is a full-time hourly position that pays $26.75/Hr. Benefits include 56 hours of Sick Pay, 11federal holidays, plus Medical, Dental, vision and life insurance coverage.
Currently, there we have the following locations/time available. They are:
West Los Angeles Medical Facility at 11301 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90073- Day (7am-330pm) and Night (3pm-11pm) Shift
- Sepulveda Medical Facility a t 1 6 1 1 1 Plummer Street, North Hills , CA 91343
- Day (7am-330pm) Shift
- LA ACC Facility at 351 East Temple Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012
- Day (7am-330pm) Shift
Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparing and taping off the surfaces of metal components about to be painted, when required
- Apply even coats of primers and coatings as directed by customer specifications and the Supervisor
- Check your pump and painting apparatus daily to ensure full functionality and operate the equipment according to manufacturer instructions for safe and proper use
- Inspect your own work daily for quality and to prevent defects before passing items to other departments in the production line; cooperate and collaborate with the Quality Control representative to correct and resolve defects
- Complete project forms and documentation accurately
- Assist with shift/workday closeout activities and general housekeeping, which are duties that are shared with all other members of the team
- Participate in cross-training to acquire additional complementary skills
Requirements:
- Three (3) years of painting experience.
- Must be able to successfully pass a drug test and a thorough background check for access onto a military installation; please note the background check for this position extends past 7 years, in conformance with federal law and US Department of Justice guidelines for work on a military installation.
