Best Care EMS is currently hiring Overnight Paramedics. We pay an additional differential pay of + $2.00 an hour for overnight shifts.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The fundamental responsibility of our Medics is to conserve life, to alleviate suffering, to promote health, to do no harm, and to encourage the quality and equal availability of emergency medical care.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- Knowledge of pre-hospital emergency medical protocols, procedures, and treatments.
- Knowledge of the city and surrounding areas
- Ability to make accurate assessments, develop a plan, and respond quickly.
- Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people.
- Ability to remain calm during stressful situations.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES
- Frequently lifts 150+ pounds. Carrying and lifting stretchers with and without patients
- Pushing, pulling, and carrying medical equipment, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, bending, twisting, lifting, walking, running
- Ability to work outdoors in wet, dry, hot, and cold weather
- Requires corrected or uncorrected vision 20/20 in each eye & with both eyes together
Requirements:
- Must be available to work the Overnight Shift, overnight shifts begin in the afternoon/evening and end the following morning.
- Texas Dept. of State Health Services- Paramedic Certification
- ACLS Certification
- PALS Certification
- Valid CPR Card for the Health Care Provider
- Valid Texas Drivers License
