PST is seeking an Outside Sales Representative / Territory Manager who will be responsible for generating sales to existing and new accounts within an assigned territory. You will be accountable for achieving quota by hunting new customers and growing existing relationships with a focus on Primary Steel manufacturing account, but also will work with industries such as Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Printing and General Engineering. We are seeking a diligent self-starter who is passionate about working with customers and solving their application challenges. The preferred location for this role will be Indianapolis IN, Chicago, IL, Milwaukee, WI, or North West Indiana.
Outside Sales Representative / Sales Engineer
- Responsible for direct sales of services to key customers, generating planned sales revenue from these major accounts
- Accountable for achieving sales growth goals by growing both existing and new customers
- Responsible for establishing pricing and securing new business
- The single point of resolution for customers’ needs for the assigned market/industry segment and/or geographic area accounts
- Responsible for leads generation and new business acquisition within specified territory
- Improves the profitability of existing accounts by fully understanding value propositions
- Supports and implements marketing plans, promotions and new product launches
- Maintain list of target accounts by generating and qualifying new business leads using CRM tool and meeting/exceeding sales metrics
- Conducts competitive intelligence
- Demonstrates product value to new account customers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required. Engineering degree preferred; mechanical aptitude is a must
- Prefer 3+ years Outside Sales experience in Technical / Industrial industries
- Prefer experience in Primary Steel industry and familiarity inside a Primary Steel facility
- 1+ years of experience in relevant industries
- Prior sales success
- Experience or familiarity with Thermal Spray and other industrial coatings preferred
- Competent computer skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint), CRM experience is a plus
- Ability to travel 50-75% (mostly by car)
