Thomas Eye group is seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant who can prepare patients for exam and procedures; to include but not limited to the following tasks:
Prepare patient’s chart for physician (procedures, informed consents, last visit notes), maintain clinical supplies, ability to utilize photo ophthalmic equipment as well as Electronic Medical Records (EMR) to gather ophthalmic diagnostic information. Must have experience with taking intraocular pressures, operating lensometry, keratometry, auto and manual refractors, slit lamp, visual field testing, muscle testing and acuity pupil exam. Must be competent with instructing patients on medications, tests and procedures.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in an ophthalmic practice
- Minimum of 3 years experience performing ophthalmic procedures and diagnostic testing
