Vitreo Retinal Consultants and Surgeons is looking for an experienced Ophthalmic Photographer to join our team on a full time basis.

Our Ophthalmic Photographers are responsible for using highly specialized imaging equipment to take detailed, accurate pictures of the eye and its inner structures as ordered by the physicians. The Ophthalmic Photographer will travel with physician to satellite clinics within the state of Kansas (Salina, Hutchinson, Garden City and Independence)

Responsibilities:

• Perform fundus photography, OCT, ultrasound, visual fields and fluorescein angiography
• Ensure imaging is performed in an efficient and timely manner
• Upload patient images to correct patient chart
• Properly maintain and care for equipment
• Functions as an integral part of the patient care team and promotes patient satisfaction by interacting with patients in a professional and friendly manner
• Maintains confidentiality and adhere to OSHA, HIPAA and Medicare guidelines
• Other duties as assigned

Skills:

• Knowledge of eye terminology, anatomy and pathology of the eye
• EMR Experience required
• High attention to detail
• Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate to the patient the nature of the procedure while minimizing any apprehension
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Phlebotomy experience a plus but not required
• Salary proportionate with experience

Education/Training:

• Minimum of two years of experience as ophthalmic photographer or ophthalmic technician with willingness to learn
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Physical requirements:

• Frequent standing and sitting
• Ability to operate imaging devices
• Regular use of computer

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
