As an Operations Technician, you will be responsible for tracking materials and equipment as well as supporting our crews who work in the field. You will deliver materials to and from constructions sites to ensure the crews have everything they need onsite. If you're looking to further develop your supply chain management and/or logistics skills, this is the opportunity for you!
Here’s what your day-to-day responsibilities will be:
- Keeping track of current inventory and ensuring the yard is fully stocked
- Thinking ahead and planning where materials will need to go for upcoming projects
- Unload and load trucks for the next day
- Load and unload at times by hand, using a skid steer, forklift, wheel loader, or tractor
- Track and log inventory and use inventory lists to pick order materials
- Inspect equipment and report any damages
- Assist with snow removal during the winter
- Support the dispatching drivers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
- Help with morning and evening loads
- Attend daily 6:30a landscape job meeting
- Ensuring crews have all materials and equipment needed on the job sites
- Working with the yard technician to ensure all vehicles are loaded and unloaded properly

Here is what our “Ideal candidate” looks like:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the landscape industry
- Microsoft Office experience
- Ability to operate equipment such as skid steer, forklift, tractor and attachments
- Computer skills
- A background in supply-chain management or logistics
- Negotiating skills
- Able to work a schedule with typical hours being 6:30-5:00 Monday-Friday with the potential of some Saturday mornings during the spring and summer months
- Valid driver’s license
