For 35 years, we’ve developed programs to meet the diverse needs of clients with moderate to severe traumatic and acquired brain injuries. We provide treatment for post-concussion syndrome, stroke, memory loss, neurobehavioral issues and accident or sports-related head injuries. Our CARF accredited, post-acute residential, vocational and outpatient programs are offered in the Philadelphia, Harrisburg, Jeannette and Pittsburgh regions of Pennsylvania, as well as East Brunswick, New Jersey, Covington, Louisiana and Howard and Montgomery Counties of Maryland.
Responsibilities:
We are actively searching for a Operations Manager to oversee operations at our Fox Chapel and Glenshaw residential programs.

This position oversees and manages the day-to-day operations of designated sites and is specifically responsible for program operations and staffing. This role works collaboratively with the Clinical Specialist to manage the teams within their program location(s), and focuses on maintaining a high level of operational efficiency and consistently providing high quality client care.

Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensures implementation of governing policies and procedures (CARF, DPW, etc.).
  • Projects and identifies staffing needs and communicates same to Program and Human Resources.
  • Ensures and monitors the proper application of policies regarding hiring practices, disciplinary actions or termination, performance appraisals, EEO, anti-discrimination, and employee recognition.
  • Responsible for overseeing orientation and training of staff in designated sites. Identifies staff training needs and coordinates resources to meet same.
  • Supports and enhances communication within designated sites (staff communication log, staff meetings, supervision and feedback, rounds, etc.).
  • Keeps staff updated of changes in company policies, procedures or other program/company related issues.
  • Monitors and ensures the completion and timely submission of all required documentation by designated staff.
  • Participates in “on-call” system of coverage to support staffing, client care and operational emergencies (includes holidays).
  • Works with Clinical Specialist to identify staffing patterns and budget parameters to promote fiscal responsibility.
  • Monitors planned/unplanned program expenses and makes adjustments as needed to remain within budget.
  • Maintains complete, up-to-date personnel records and other related documents for designated staff in a confidential manner.
  • Responsible to assist in the development of the annual budget.
  • Responsible to collect data, monitor trends and communicate information as appropriate to designated personnel.
  • Routinely attends and actively participates as a member of one or more standing committees as requested by Program or Clinical Director(s).
  • Maintains standards of cleanliness, maintenance and other health and safety related requirements.
  • Thoroughly and accurately completes and submits weekly staffing summaries, petty cash reconciliation and submits information needed to process payroll on a biweekly basis.

Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree along with a minimum of two to three years experience in the health care industry is required. Knowledge of neuropsychology, substance abuse issues, behavior and cognitive rehabilitation techniques is also desired. Experience working with families is required. Interest in working within a team approach system is also recommended. Competence in planning, organizational, writing and time management skills are also required. Ability to communicate with families, professionals and coworkers is a must.
