POSITION PURPOSE:
The Data Specialist will work cross functionally with various departments to ensure effective business processes. The role will support enhancements in streamlining data structures, database use and application tools within Data Management Organization (DMO) as well as running analysis for Purchasing/Operations.
DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Data owner/expert for all Procurement/Operations master data
• Perform data entry and data quality functions to meet OWI business process standards
• Review and process data based on teamwork with Sourcing Manager or Planner.
• Ensure data requests are processed through in a timely fashion between departments
• Work with Sourcing Managers, buyers or Planners to ensure master data aligns with current and future OWI business processes
• Support Procurement /Operations with analysis such as (but not limited to) suppliers/terminals spend, cost savings, KPI reports.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

Associate degree in Business.

• Ability to multi-task and perform assignments in a fast-paced environment; meet deadlines under pressure
• Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; accuracy and attention to details
• Ability to work independently and in team environments with little supervision; confidence in decision-making ability; proactive
• Knowledge of manufacturing and master data (product master, BOM’s, routings, purchasing info record’s, vendor master, etc.)
• Highly skilled on Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, Access, Word and Power Point)
• SAP software experience required
• A high level of integrity is required as the individual will be exposed to sensitive and confidential information
• The position requires teamwork and the ability to cultivate and maintain positive working relationships.
