Job Title – Operation System Project Coordinator

Location – Remote (willing to work PST hours)

Openings – 1

Pay Range – $38-$45/hr

Start Date – ASAP (2 weeks from offer)

Interview Process– 1 & Done video interview – 30-45 minutes w/ hiring manager and team lead

Must -Have(s)

  • 5+ years of experience managing multiple projects at once while coordinating with vendors/facility management teams
  • Strong understanding of Change Control process and following operation procedures
  • Experience with SmartSheets- PM Software they use
  • Ability to operate and manage projects remotely, set project schedules and execute project timelines
  • Strong ability to lead meetings and effectively communicate with all needed parties
  • Located in PST time zone

Plusses:

  • 3+years of experience partnering with multiple organizations to integrate and manage BMS, DCIM, EPMS and other operational systems in a data center environment
  • Knowledge of building environmental controls and alarm systems(Schneider, Automated Logic, Tridium, Siemens or Honeywell)
  • Familiar with data aggregation and communication protocols such as Modbus, BACnet, SNMP, Web Services

Day-to-Day:

Insight Global is seeking a remote Operation System Project Coordinator for a Real Estate Digital Trust Client. The reason this role is open is the team is in need of extra support coordinating with their Asia Pacific and Australia sites and location specific vendors. He/She will make a strong impact as they drive systems improvement within Global Operations – partnering with IT and other departments – gathering input from Operations leadership and site personnel to help rollout modern BMS / DCIM and Alarm Delivery. His/Her focus will be to work with Operations Management Systems Leadership and IT to facilitate technology improvements in all areas of data center operations, with specific focus on directing improvements and supporting daily management of our Building Management Systems (BMS), Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) systems, and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS). Building BMS retrofit projects are expected to last 9-12mo, this is a 4 year program expected through the end of 2025, and he/she will be assigned 9-10 buildings per year.

At a tactical level, the role has three key components:

Coordinate day to day activities for each assigned building

Set up regular calls as needed to facilitate transfer of information, communication of progress and any concerns that may come up

Managing daily system issues and troubleshooting problems when necessary

More specifically you will:

  • Schedule calls with appropriate personnel for both DLR, the selected BMS vendor and commissioning agents.
  • Document and report progress, risks, and issues for each assigned building regularly
  • Escalate concerns to team management
  • Capture and document possible changes in scope as well as facilitate discussion and approval of any changes
  • Coordinate with IT, DCIM and Alarm Distribution System resources to ensure systems see only essential localized disruption when scheduled and communicated.
  • Mitigate risks through proper MOP creation and surveys of experts within DLR and the vendor
  • Within reason manage implementation of BMS system per DLR standards
  • Work directly with each vendor’s project manager to ensure vendor follows industry standard project management practices of documentation and reporting.
  • Manage any warranty issue regarding works completed under this project for the duration of this program
  • Review submittals from standard BMS vendors to ensure DLR standards are followed and solution matches operation’s needs within reason

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38.00 - $45.00 per hour
