THE FAMILY | This high-energy family of four are creatives at heart and enjoy a lot of play-based activities together as a family. They are actively seeking a new long-term nanny to help with the daily care of their children. The family wants the nanny to grow with them throughout the years.
Their ideal nanny is structured, experienced with toddler and preschool ages, and enjoys engaging children with educational yet playful age-appropriate activities.
THE OLDEST | She is 3 years old and described as articulate and very physical; she loves climbing, running, and playing. She also has a very curious engineering mind - enjoying building and taking things apart. She loves engagement. She's all about creative play that ranges from dancing and telling stories to arts and crafts.
She is in a local preschool for the first part of the day. Her preschool is outside and play-based. She has no known allergies or dietary restrictions.
THE YOUNGEST | He just turned 1 year old. His personality is more mellow in comparison to his sister's. He is calm yet curious about the world around him. He loves his independence. He enjoys being outdoors. Currently, some of his favorite things are pandas, rocks, and tools such as vacuums, brooms, and spatulas.
He has a mild allergy to peanuts, soy and eggs.
THE JOB DETAILS | Engage the two children with age-appropriate activities. Bringing structure and an educational element to the activities/play. The nanny is required to take the initiative in generating/creating ideas for play/activities. In addition to this, taking the children on age-appropriate outings such as nature walks, parks/playgrounds, libraries, etc.
Proactively help with tasks and duties that support the day-to-day care of the children. These include but are not limited to tidying play areas, picking up after children/encouraging them to clean up, laundry, dishes/unloading/loading dishwasher, restocking items, making/prepping meals/snacks, etc. (There will be a couple of hours each day for the nanny to handle such tasks and plan activities.)
Learn the personalities of the home to get a sense of who the family is and how best to support them.
Build a genuine and authentic bond with the children.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE | Loves working with young children. Has experience working as a nanny caring for multiples ages 5 and under. Genuinely loves being a nanny. Has a minimum of five years of experience working professionally with children. Has a preschool or educational background. Able to generate ideas for structured, educational age-appropriate play. Has studied or has knowledge of child development and how to nurture and stimulate young minds. Takes the initiative with play-based activities and engagement.
Comfortable working alongside parents. Can proactively help with tasks and chores that pertain to the children's day-to-day. Comfortable driving children and using the family's golf cart.
Active and energetic. Enthusiastic. Reliable. Patient. Consistent. Communicative. Trustworthy. Authentic.
Strong work ethic. Team player. Respects professional/personal boundaries. Strong command of English, written and verbal.
Has the flexibility for international and domestic travel. Wants to make a long-term commitment to a family.
THE REQUIREMENTS | Previous experience working as a nanny caring for multiple children at a time ideally ages 5 and under. A minimum of five years of experience working with toddlers and preschoolers. Has studied Early Childhood Education and/or worked in a preschool setting. CPR/First Aid Certification in Pediatrics and Adults. Stellar references from previous nanny family employers. Travel with the family.
Vaccinations: COVID and flu shots.
Clear background screening and driving record. Comfortable being registered with TrustLine if not already.
Nanny needs their own reliable means of transportation to and from work. The nanny will be provided a vehicle for on-the-job driving when driving the children.
THE SCHEDULE | Monday to Friday 11 AM to 7 PM or 12 PM to 8 PM (the family also can offer 30 hours a week if someone prefers fewer hours)
THE RATE | $30 to $35 per hour DOE. Guaranteed weekly pay. Paid leave. Health care stipend.
