Job Description: Office Clerk

The role supports BCM’s mission by supporting the work of the executive suite and overseeing a variety of projects across the agency. The primary objectives of this role are to ensure the executive suite administrative duties are well-managed and to support BCM’s office work. - $18 an hour for 40 hours a week plus excellent benefit package.

Desired skills and knowledge:

  • Experienced administrator capable of supporting efficient operations in a nonprofit office.
  • Experience working with a board of directors and leadership team.
  • Experience with managing the behind-the-scenes aspects and details that help make a business run smoothly.
  • High degree of trustworthiness and integrity, as well as the ability to show initiative when needed.
  • Responsible for confidential and time sensitive materials.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to details.
  • Knowledge and experience working with required software: Microsoft 365.

Provide administrative, problem solving, and logistical support for the team.

  • Assists in creating board materials (board member packets for meetings, directory, etc.) and keeping important documents organized and accessible on server.
  • Work closely with the C suite to discuss company needs and make necessary changes.
  • Communicate relevant information to the staff and the board.
  • Organize and maintain files for the board web portal.
  • Under study check writing, payroll, & assist in the day-to-day operations.
  • Update and manage board manual and staff handbook.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal communication - ability to talk with staff, upper management, and board members.
  • Organize board committee meetings, locations, reminders, agendas etc. board members have the materials they need in advance and can coordinate their schedules to attend most meetings.

Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders

  • Provide stakeholders with meeting invitations, agendas, reminders, supportive materials, follow up notes and updates on progress of relevant initiatives.
  • Alert the staff to meetings, holidays, changes of schedules, maintenance, and important events.
  • Create and maintain a master calendar for internal and external stakeholders annually.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal/external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365
  • Self-starter, possess a natural ability to lead and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for BCM’s mission
  • High degree of trustworthiness
  • Desire to make a difference by offering quality customer service on behalf of BCM.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $39,000.00 per year
