Bussen Quarries has been in business for over 135 years in the Saint Louis area operating limestone quarries, a river sand operation and a full service river terminal on the Mississippi River. We strive to produce high quality construction aggregates while maintaining excellent relationships with our community, customers, and the environment.

We are currently seeking candidates for a Office Assistant/Floater position that will be based out of our accounting office. An individual in this position will be required to fill in at quarry scale houses as needed. The work schedule consists of weekday hours starting at 6:00 am - 4:00 pm when filling in at a scale house, or 8:00 am – 4:00 pm at the accounting office.

Major accounting office responsibilities include:

• Performing data entry
• Processing accounts receivable
• Providing excellent customer service

Major scale house responsibilities include:

• Answering phones and assisting customers
• Fulfilling customer orders
• Dispatching trucks from quarry to project location

The ideal Office Assistant/Floater candidate will have:

• Strong customer focus
• Experience with a multi-line phone system
• Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
