Department Overview:
Use computer system to check students, residents, fellows, members, and guests into the facility. Take facility reservations. Monitor and provide technical support to the media room. Assist with organizing and preparing new baskets and bike lockers. Assist with restocking inventory and pricing merchandise in Campus Store as needed. Launder, dry, fold and organize towels as well as lost and found items.
Test pool and hot tub chemistry, and maintain accurate records as required by state law. Maintain surveillance of natatorium, swimming pool, and hot tub areas. Report mechanical concerns to supervisor and/or pool operator position.
Assist with the intramural sports programs including set-up, tear-down, and scorekeeping/timekeeping. Ensure proper first aid is given for emergency situations and report to management.
Assist with special projects/events including but not limited to set-up and clean-up, creating brochures and flyers, and assisting at student events.
Required Qualifications:
Exceptional customer service, phone skills, typing skills, computer skills including: word, excel, data entry, ability to create brochures/flyers, POS/VEND, scheduling software
Schedule may fluctuate depending on departmental needs; may include early morning, evening, and/or some Saturday shifts.
Current modified operations hours: Monday - Friday 8am-8pm.
Regular operating hours: Monday - Thursday 6am-10pm, Friday 6am-9pm, Saturdays 9am - 5pm.

This position is a part-time, non-benefitted position located in the OHSU Student Center on the Marquam Hill Campus. The Student Center includes the Campus Store, lounge spaces, media room, swimming pool, hot tub, gymnasium, wellness room and locker rooms. This position is responsible for providing customer service to students, residents, fellows, members and guests of the facility as well as performing general office duties to support the center, Campus Store, and Office of Student Life.
Function/Duties of Position:
Greet guests, answer telephone calls, assist members with applicable questions/concerns, membership intake and processing; access cards or payroll deduction (OHSU employees), and data entry. Stop, start, update, merge, etc. individual memberships and process appropriate paperwork.

Clean and organize the front desk, workroom, laundry room, lounge space, and media room spaces including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and wiping down tables, café area, microwaves, and sinks. Ensure cleanliness and disposal of all trash and recycling. Maintain stock of magazines, brochures, and flyers and maintain bulletin boards as needed. Monitor and enforce facility policies.
Maintain building security and guarantee the proper opening and closing of the facility. Assist with special cleaning projects, as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Three (3) months of general office experience or equivalent combination of experience and training
Exceptional customer service, phone skills, typing skills, computer skills including: word, excel, data entry, ability to create brochures/flyers, POS/VEND, scheduling software

- One year of general office or secretarial experience, AND An Associate’s degree or certificate in office occupations or office technology; OR
- A Bachelor’s degree and six months of general office or secretarial experience; OR
- An equivalent combination of training and experience
- One year of general office or secretarial experience; OR an equivalent combination of training and experience
- Exceptional customer service, phone skills, typing skills, computer skills including: word, excel, data entry, ability to create brochures/flyers, POS/VEND, scheduling software
- 3 months of pool chemistry testing
- 3 months of experience with competitive sports, intramural or recreational sports league
- 3 months of retail, POS/VEND
