Job description

70.1 TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS: One-year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55 b/c service in a title Grade 6 or higher determined to be similar by Civil Service. Note: For 70.1 transfers, a comprehensive list of titles approved for transfers is available through Civil Service GOT-IT at https://careermobilityoffice.cs.ny.gov/cmo/gotit/
55b/c QUALIFICATIONS: This position may be designated 55b/c and is subject to verification of applicant eligibility. Please provide a copy of your 55b/55c letter when applying.
Provisional:
In the event there's not a valid eligible list, a provisional appointment may be considered (no minimum qualifications need to be met). If you are appointed provisionally, you must take the next scheduled Civil Service examination for this title, and your score must be reachable on the resulting eligible list, before you can be permanently appointed. If you do not pass the examination or achieve a reachable score, you may not be retained.
The incumbent will work provide support for the Bureau of Program Certification for the Newark office. This includes a full range of office support duties including but not limited to the following:
Complete keyboarding and electronic assignments as necessary
Create documents and correspondences as needed
Manage all filing and resolve day to day operational problems
Prepare and process all required paperwork for certification of programs as necessary
Assist in requesting new Operating Certificate numbers and supporting certification documents as needed
Monitor and process all incoming and outgoing mail
Complete all other duties assigned by supervisor
