At Home Physical Therapy, Inc(AHPT) is a progressive therapy practice that uniquely delivers the highest quality outpatient OT and PT care to patients in their own homes. We are a small, PT owned, dynamic operation and are seeking a skilled, caring, and experienced therapist to join our team, help develop the practice, and advance his/her career. At Home Physical Therapy is not homecare. We uniquely maintain the highest standards for offering impairment precise, researched based therapy, focused on achieving full functional recovery and outcomes for our patients as found in a top notch outpatient clinic, only we bring our practice to their homes. Opportunities exist for the right therapist to grow their patient base to earn bonus pay.
Patients who enjoy our services have busy schedules precluding travel time to a clinic, choose to avoid the commotion and impersonal nature of typical outpatient PT, or have challenges with transportation. Our therapists appreciate the autonomy and great flexibility that the practice allows. Staff can work mid-day, evenings, weekends or almost any set of hours that accommodates their lifestyle and works for the patients so long as results are achieved. Therapists are provided with the necessary treatment equipment including an iPad for electronic record documentation, a portable treatment table, modalities, resistance equipment, and other treatment devices. Documentation is SOAP note, EMR format with NO OASIS forms to complete! Additionally, in this era of COVID, we offer safe practice measures with equipping staff with full, necessary PPE and modified procedures.
AHPT is seeking a responsible and caring therapist with strong clinical abilities, excellent interpersonal skills, and enthusiasm to contribute to our practice. We offer a starting contract rate of up to $80 per patient treatment hour (based on experience) and bonus pay for referrals generated. As this is an independent contractor position, healthcare and other benefits are not included. Our practice area includes the western aspect of the greater Boston area, from Brookline and Cambridge to Newton, Wellesley, Weston, Needham and beyond.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in multiple therapy environments.
- Adept at working with the geriatric, orthopedic and neurologic populations.
- Strong manual skills and interpersonal abilities
- Reliably autonomous.
- Independent transportation.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and provide ongoing OT treatment to effectively correct patients’ movement difficulties and advance their functional abilities.
- Arrange and maintain schedules with patients.
- Travel to patients’ homes with necessary (provided) equipment operating on an accurate schedule.
- Maintain complete, timely, and accurate electronic medical records (Using a provided iPad and WebPT internet based OT documentation).
- Follow A0TA laws as well as Medicare and other insurance guidelines.
- Maintain A0TA code of ethics and follow all local and national laws.
- Maintain Mass OT license, drivers license, and personal professional liability insurance.
- Conduct proper professionalism and promote positive image of business.
- Communicate effectively with practice manager.
