Job Description:
Performs duties related to diet office functions and tray line performance. Processes diet orders and patient snacks and preferences into computer entries and menus then ensure patient meal trays are assembled in accordance to the received information. Checks tray line accuracy, quality, timeliness, diet compliance, portion sizes, temperatures etc.
Required Skills:
1. Must be able to read, speak and comprehend English at level necessary to follow oral and written instructions, diet manuals/information, computer programs and safety precautions.
2. Knowledge of or ability to learn operation of dietary computer.
3. Knowledge of patient diet requirements.
4. Bilingual (English, Spanish) highly preferred.
Required Experience:
A. Work Experience:
One year experience in hospital food service, including work with modified diets and/or nutritional care related activities (OR) equivalent education.
B. Education and Training:
High school graduate or equivalent. Coursework in nutritional or related field, preferred #CB
