PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The Northview Kids Director's primary responsibility is to provide leadership, vision, and creative direction to the Northview Kids ministry at their assigned campus. This job requires weekend hours. This is an exempt full-time salary position in the Northview Kids Ministry and reports to the Campus Pastor.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Gives ministry away

Ongoing Duties:

  • Oversees curriculum for each Northview Kids classroom
  • Prepares each room with needed supplies for weekend services
  • Creates volunteer schedule for each Northview Kids classroom
  • Provides training for Volunteers
  • Plans and executes Volunteer Appreciation event once a year
  • Invests relationally with volunteers
  • Leads the Parent Baptism class and Baby Dedication class
  • Attends weekly Campus staff meetings
  • Attends monthly Huddle
  • Enters all Northview Kids events into scheduling database
  • Updates church database as needed
  • Communicates regularly with Pathways regarding room set up and special events
  • Coordinates childcare for special events
  • Communicates with parents monthly on any events, classes, or relevant information
  • Shows commitment to Cultural Values
  • Responds to emails and voicemails within 24 hours
  • Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor

Team Player Duties:

  • Attends all campus Northview Kids best practices meeting
  • Attends curriculum meeting for all campuses

FX Event Duties:

  • Attends all FX planning meetings
  • Recruits and trains volunteers for FX
  • Holds campus specific FX team meetings
  • Leads a practice run through of FX

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position works with volunteers and must have an understanding that volunteers are key to the ministry of the church. The employee must have a heart to recruit, train, equip and support volunteers in fulfilling their roles.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in a related field, plus three to five years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Related experience would be working in childrens ministry as a coordinator or director, preferably at a large church.
