The Town of Breckenridge Recreation Department is seeking a dedicated and customer service oriented individual for the position of Nordic Attendant. Nordic Attendants are responsible for exceptional internal and external guest service for the Recreation Department. The primary purpose is to interface with guests in order to meet or exceed guest needs with respect to the facility, program or service needs.

Individuals in this position are responsible for greeting Nordic center guests, providing information about recreation department programs and services, assisting customers with rental equipment, and assisting with special events and programming. This position is involved with the hands-on, day-to-day operations at Gold Run Nordic Center, including guest service, facility and equipment operations and maintenance, delivery of programs and services, & safety and risk management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 16 years of age or older
• High school diploma or GED
• Possess/Demonstrate ability to cross country ski
• One (1) or more years of customer service experience
• One (1) or more years of cash handling experience
• To qualify for this position the candidate or employee must pass a criminal background check as described in the Recreation Department Criminal History Background Check & Confidentiality Policy.

• Basic CPR, AED, and First Aid Certifications are required within 60 days of hire.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to obtain CO DL within 5 days of hire.

Typical Hiring Pay Range: $20.00 - $21.25 per hour.

SENSITIVITY STATUS
Because the Town's Recreation Department positions may involve direct contact with children, the Town requires that the incumbent in this position must have a clear criminal history that bears on his or her fitness to have responsibility for the safety and well-being of children.

WORK SCHEDULE
Primary shifts for this position generally include 6-9 hours shifts daily between the hours of 8:30am-4:30pm; shifts may occasionally extend as late as 8pm depending on the program being offered. Individuals in this position must be flexible in terms of availability; and may on occasion be required to work other shifts as needed, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.

Must be available to work through the winter seasonal period established by the Recreation Department, which generally extends through the beginning of April. All interested applicants must be available to work through this date, although all work schedules, hours and dates of work are at the discretion of the Town and may be altered at any time.
