Michigan Dairy Tech is expanding our reach to dairy producers in Texas and beyond. We depend on constant communication to connect with our team, our partners, and customers around the country. We’re currently seeking a highly skilled network engineer to facilitate an uninterrupted flow of information by keeping our customers computer networks running efficiently and effectively. Our ideal candidate has extensive experience designing networks with careful consideration of constraints such as building layout, proximity to threats, and budget. Objectives of this Role
- Oversee computer networks to maximize performance and minimize downtime
- Confer with customers regularly to clarify needs
- Design and implement network components, including equipment procurement
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve problems
- Coordinate network access and use
- Continually research new technologies and educational opportunities
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and maintain network solutions that provide core Infrastructure including private cloud and integrate with services and systems running in virtual private and public cloud infrastructure
- Communicate with team to identify needs, monitoring performance, and troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues with network and systems
- Provide project management on various network activities including upgrades, new implementations, and migrations, with technical direction and user support as needed
- Create, revise, update, and maintain documentation of environment and operational procedures
- Create reports and documentation outlining findings and solutions
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in technology, with a focus on network engineering
- Experience with network infrastructure and hardware
- Proficiency with infrastructure devices, including switches, routers, wireless access points, controllers, and firewalls
- Expertise in designing, monitoring, and repairing local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN)
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA in information systems or related field
- Professional certifications (CCIE, CCNP, JNCIE-ENT, Network+, WCNA)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
