Job description

Role: Full-time, Contract (C2C/1099). Contract to hire possibility

Location: US, remote

JOB SUMMARY:

As network architect, you will contribute to and manage the selection, creation and maintenance of our client's key network technologies, meeting customer requirements, ensuring alignment to strategic targets and leading architecture outcomes.

You will be the functional and technical expert for the Global Network Service portfolio of technologies, bringing an understanding of the enterprise, business system, business process, and industry to the team, supporting with the Global network.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Bring an understanding of the enterprise, business systems, business process, and industry to the teams supporting and interfacing with the application
  • Work with customers to define network requirements, documenting and analysing the requirements, and leading impact analysis
  • Review and integrate changes to the technical architecture
  • Be the lead for all recommendations regarding network hardware, products, system software, and security, working with the appropriate customer representatives
  • Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of changes defined by approved work requests and change requirements
  • Ensure that policies, standards, procedures and guidelines are followed
  • Review application and technical architecture work products throughout a release or work request development cycle to ensure quality and traceability
  • Identify cross-release/cross work request issues, and work with the application lead and service management to address them

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Extensive experience taking the lead on designing and articulating network solutions
  • NWA experience in the retail space
  • Experience identifying and implementing new and innovative technologies to support customer needs, drive quality and improve value
  • Excellent knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies
  • Specialist understanding of Cisco Meraki SDWAN
  • Extensive experience of Cisco routing and switching in complex environments
  • Excellent understanding of Agile methodologies and toolsets
