Join a dedicated and forward thinking team at the Rutland County Parent Child Center. RCPCC offers a unique and welcoming workplace culture. We are looking for a full-time Navigation Coordinator. The goal of this position is to improve navigation across local agencies to help reduce case management responsibilities and requirements that limit family’s bandwidth to pursue their goals or engage with their children. The majority of the work will focus around building social capital events that allow families and social workers to create natural connections in order to collaborate and support whole families. This is a new and exciting position with innovative approaches for supporting families in the community and helping them to achieve individualized goals and build natural social networks. Candidates will need to be willing to think outside the box, build social connections through community outreach, plan and facilitate social capital events, and collect data. Candidates must be willing to work a flexible schedule. Bachelor's degree required in social services, psychology, education, sociology, anthropology or a related field. Previous case management experience is encouraged. Letter of interest required. Position also requires driving; therefore, must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills with both children and adults, is reliable, driven, can adhere to firm deadlines, shows extraordinary patience (children have Herculean inner strength) and a wellspring of joy (we want you to love what you do and we want our children and families to know it). (These qualities are as important as your degree). Knowledge of Microsoft programs and Google drive.
