As a National Services Support Quoting Specialist (Cisco Hardware Quoting), you will function as a Pre-Sales Support Engineer for Cisco Solutions. The Support Specialist will be responsible for creating and validating configurations /quotes for primarily Cisco Networking, Collaboration, and Server solutions.
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a subject matter expert that establish ePlus as a leading provider of advanced network operating system solutions.
  • Create and validate Bills of Materials for Cisco, Microsoft, Meraki, HP, Dell, Juniper networking, servers, Collaboration endpoints, as well as other onboarded OEM ePlus Partner products, using their respective configuration tools.
  • Creating quotes for Microsoft products like O365, Windows Server, SQL Server, and any other requested Microsoft software.
  • Work closely with Sales Representatives to ensure that BoMs meet customer requirements and are accurate.
  • Assist sales team with collecting customer business and technical requirements and determining ePlus recommended solution(s).
  • Provide Management with insight and feedback to help improve department procedures and also to raise team visibility.
  • Time tracking in ePlus systems and dollar spend recording/reporting purposes in a timely fashion.
  • Completion of administrative tasks (expenses, time reporting) in a timely fashion.
  • Provide exemplary customer service to our internal customers.

Job Knowledge/Skills:

  • Cohesive experience in the strategy, process and methodology for business enablement and transformation through technology
  • A wealth of expertise on standards, architectures, technology frameworks, solutions and best practices.
  • Proven collaboration and consensus-driving with technology teams, business groups and senior executives.
  • Experience and/or familiarity with Cisco architectures including networking, data center, and collaboration.
  • Experience using various vendor configuration tools in order to create Bills of Materials/quotes.
  • Demonstrate excellent time and priority management skills as well as tracking time effectively.
  • Ability to seek out technical specification information using vendor data/specification sheets.
  • Comfortable with communicating technical specifications and information with non-technical sales staff.

Education and Experience:

  • CCNA, or equivalent work experience preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in configuring or implementing applicable solutions
  • Balanced experience of technology/engineering, and business/management


Position Specifics:
The base salary range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $60,000 to $100,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions and discretionary bonuses, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Physical Requirements of Position:
Ability of finger dexterity to be used primarily to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects or pinching fingers together. Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands and / or fingers. Speech ability must be at a level where one must convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly or quickly. Hearing ability must be at a level to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information. Visual ability must be average with ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery. Physical strength for sedentary work with sitting most of the time. May have to exert or lift up to 10 – 20 pounds of force occasionally.
