This is TEMPORARY seasonal field and/or laboratory work.

Employment duration is starting now through October 20, 2023, working Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

We have part-time and full-time positions available! Part-time positions are 24 hours per week, so if you need a more flexible schedule during the week, part-time positions may work for you.

Field Aides: In this role you will conduct mosquito surveillance in county ditches and other water sources. As well as treating the ditches with environmentally safe larvicide by use of truck mounted equipment.

Laboratory Aides: In this role you will conduct mosquito surveillance by setting and collecting mosquito traps. Then, identification of adult mosquitoes using microscopes. As well as working with our sentinel chicken program or data entry.

About You

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or its equivalent.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License by start date.

Physical Demands: Must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.

Subject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment in any class for a period of five (5) years.

Pay: $15.50-$15.75, dependent upon experience or returning previous hires
