SUMMARY STATEMENT
This position processes residential mortgage loans (FHA, VA, Conventional, USDA) under various programs in a quality consistent with all company policies and procedures, as well as meeting all regulatory requirements.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reviews residential loan application file to verify that application data is complete and meets establishment standards, including type and amount of mortgage, borrower assets, liabilities and length of employment.
- Gather information and take each file from pre-approval to closing.
- Input proper loan information into the system for processing
- Responsible for ensuring all loan documentation is complete, accurate, verified and complies with company policy.
- Review file documentation and make sure all items needed are requested from borrowers or third parties.
- Order and coordinate loan documents including verifications, appraisals, title work, flood certs, surveys, etc.
- Obtains and reviews necessary loan documentation and submits complete packages to Underwriting for approval.
- Obtains and verifies all Underwriting conditions are received and cleared by the Underwriter and prepares the file for submission to the Closing Dept.
- Monitors and ensures closing dates and company deadlines are met; Records data on status of loans (approved, canceled or denied); Reviews files to ensure compliance with rules and regulations of government agencies.
- Maintains a pipeline of loans and is responsible for the timely and compliant flow of such loans through the process.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One or more years directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
