Executive Summary of Position:

The Compliance Officer is responsible for the comprehensive implementation of the company’s board approved Compliance Management System (CMS). The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years of mortgage origination compliance experience, strong technical writing skills, knowledge of federal and state mortgage regulations and the ability to research and interpret federal code and statutes.

Essential Duties:

The Compliance Officer is responsible for active oversight of the compliance department in the implementation of the CMS. The CMS is designed to monitor mortgage origination activity, ensure effective regulatory compliance controls, provide proper training across the company, manage consumer complaints efficiently and report regularly to the board of directors. The Compliance Officer must understand all CMS components and compliance control processes from executive management level down to the individual loan level.

Other Duties:

· Handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

· Lead by example in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

· Promote and participate in a positive teamwork environment through example and sharing of knowledge and skill.

· Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.

· Report any potential or actual violations of such policies, practices and procedures to Supervisor.

· Perform other duties as assigned by upper management.

Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience:

· Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop working relations with the business units supported at a positive level

· Able to manage complex assignments independent while also working effectively as part of a team

· Communicate in a positive and professional manner at all times

· Excellent problem solving skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
