Location/Project: Phillipsburg, KS - Grain Storage

Estimated Job Duration: 12 - 18 Months

Millwright Position Responsibilities:

• Perform tasks involving physical labor at the construction site.
• Rig and position industrial agricultural equipment to elevated site.
• Layout, assemble, and align equipment, mounting & securing per construction documents.
• Assemble moving parts and sub-assemblies with proper use of adjusting, shimmering, leveling, and tensioning provisions.
• Weld, repair, and fabricate equipment or machinery.
• Operate hand and power tools of all types.
• Assist other craft workers.

Typical Millwright Physical Demands:

• Involves physical work that requires frequent use of arms, legs, and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
• Must be able to perform strenuous outdoor work in exposed weather conditions on a day-to-day basis
• Must be able to climb and work at excessive heights
• Must have a normal range of hearing and vision
• May require lifting up to 70 lbs

Position Qualifications:

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Must be at least 18 years
• Must be able to read and work from blue prints/drawings and follow instructions
• Must possess basic tools of the trade

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7am - 5:30pm. Estimated at 45 hours per week. Weekend work and additional daily work may be required during peak construction periods.

Pay: $24/hr and up based on experience
