McCormick & Company, Inc., a world leader in the spice, flavor and seasonings industry, is seeking a full time Merchandising Innovations P l anner . This new hire will work in our Global Headquarters in a hybrid capacity located at 24 Schilling Road , Hunt Valley, MD . The Merchandising Innovations Planner will report to a Merchandising Innovations Manager.

POSITION OVERVIEW
This Merchandising Innovations Planner will work with an established pool of suppliers for the development of merchandising material for the division. In addition, this position acts as a liaison to Field Sales and Marketing for point of sale material availability and requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain divisional merchandising requirements to include floor displays, temporary displays and other merchandising aides.
Manage suppliers to ensure projects are delivered per agreed specification.
Responsible for the oversight of merchandise components and inventory; Manage inventory levels to meet customer service levels while also mitigating inventory obsolescence
Drive actionable insights on waste, including inventory at risk, unsaleables, and product life cycles
Liaison with Field Sales for all merchandising needs to include, but not limited to, item specific information, customer specific requests and inventory availability.
Daily contact with suppliers to gain information on point of sale requirements.
Collaborate with internal departments including, Sales Planning, Marketing, Finance, Distribution, Customer Service and Corporate Procurement on merchandising initiatives.
Proactive Merchandising Innovation - to include field/industry research, sales contact, vendor communication for new options and internal innovation showcases.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associates degree in Business or related field.
2+ years of experience in Sales or Marketing
Ability to work in cross functional teams and lead without formal authority
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to react quickly and complete tasks on short timelines
Strong financial skills to assist with management of capital budgets and inventory spend reporting, SAP
Strong analytic skills to define accurate purchase quantities based on field forecasts, historical usage and additional field knowledge
Ability to analyze data to identify opportunities in waste improvement; innovative skills to solution waste; leadership skills to facilitate action
Knowledge of BW reporting
Proficiency with MS Excel, Power Point and Word
Ability to work well in a team environment
Creative problem solving in the dynamic environment of retail store displays and equipment, that includes knowledge of retailers, products, vendors, materials and common merchandising practices
Must be self-motivated, project a professional image, and interact effectively with all levels of management, brokers, customers and outside vendors
Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication & organizational skills
