Job description

Mechanical Contractor located in Central New Jersey is seeking a Pipe Drafter with 3+ years of experience. Successful candidate will be proficient in AutoCad and will demonstrate confidence and comfort in dealing with design team, field and office staff.

Requirements:

- Utilize contract documents, models and vendor data to compose 3D constructible models, piping layout drawings, isometric drawings and spool sheet drawings

- Spot potential constructability issues and redesign layouts to improve design criteria

- Employ knowledge of various engineering, constructions practices and equipment to complete the drawings

- Review drawings for accuracy and client standards

- Attend internal and external coordination meetings

- Visit job sites to verify scope, survey equipment and field conditions

- Ability to work with and without direct supervision to meet deadlines

- Understand and comply with applicable construction practices, regulations and procedures

- Ability to work in a multi-task environment

- Excellent time management skills

- Must have an understanding of construction details

- Must demonstrate knowledge of AutoCad MEP with 3D layouts

- Revit experience a plus

- Strong oral and written skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
