The State of Nebraska, Department of Health and Human Services is seeking full-time and temporary on-call Mental Health Specialists for the Division of Behavioral Health at Lincoln Regional Center.

Permanent full-time and part-time starting pay rate $23.50 per hour plus additional $1.50/hour pay differential. Temporary on-call $22.00/hour plus additional $3/hour facility differential pay. Additional shift differential pay for 2nd shift and 3rd shifts.
Lincoln Regional Center 801 W. Prospector Lincoln, NE
Full-time 1st shift 6:45am - 3:15pm, 2nd Shift: 2:45pm - 11:15pm, and/or 3rd Shift: 11pm - 7am as well as temporary on-call positions available. Available schedules will be discussed at time of offer.
Mental Health Specialists play a vital role in the care of patients at Lincoln Regional Center. They will work directly with the adult patient population to ensure not only safety of the individuals served but provide a safe and therapeutic living environment as well. The responsibilities of this position also include encouraging participation in treatment, modeling appropriate interactions, documentation of efforts or areas of concern, and may be required to transport patients using a state car.
REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 19 years of age to work with adult client populations and possess a valid driver's license or independent authorized transportation.
PREFERRED: One year or more combined experience or education in human services, customer service, or military service.
OTHER: Must be able to attend and complete three (3) weeks of New Employee Orientation Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm, attendance during this time is mandatory. Must be able to work a shift assignment which includes weekends, holidays, and mandatory overtime.
