Salary maximum: $72,072 based on experience

Unity House is dedicated to making life better for our communities and the Housing Support Services Department has a full-time opportunity for a Mental Health Counselor/ Family Specialist as part of our ACT Team.

Responsibilities:

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary mobile treatment team

Assessment of client needs as it pertains to family model

Provide family intervention strategies

Provide cognitive behavioral techniques

Provide education on client’s diagnosis to family

Promote a culture of inclusion and diversity

Requirements:

Masters degree or higher in social work, psychology, rehabilitation counseling, or a related field

NYS License Mental Health Counselor required or Limited Permit

Prefer experience/training in specialty area and demonstration of specific skills or knowledge in family needs assessment

Valid NYS driver License, and an acceptable driving record as determined by company liability insurance required.

Work independently and as a team
