Job Title: Membership Coordinator- Full Time
Branch: West Chester Area YMCA
Location: 605 Airport Road West Chester, PA
Shifts/Availability: Full-Time, must be available to work nights and weekends
Starting Pay: $17.00-$19.00/ hour

About the YMCA of Greater Brandywine:
The YMCA of Greater Brandywine (YGBW), an association of eight YMCAs serving Chester County, is a non-profit organization committed to nurturing the potential of every child, promoting healthy living and fostering social responsibility through life-changing programs for all.

Position Purpose: The West Chester Area YMCA is seeking a Membership Coordinator to lead and organize the membership tasks and support and assist our members.

Responsibilities:
  • Hire, train, and supervise staff and volunteers.
  • Plan, organize and lead specific activities, processes, initiatives and strategies.
  • Develop and market program and/or membership promotion pieces.
  • Lead with enthusiasm and positive motivation.
  • Organize and maintain schedules and records, i.e., attendance records, rosters, progress reports, etc.
  • Manage and maintain all equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and risk-free environment and correct within prescribed emergency response procedures. Escalate safety/risk concerns with appropriate urgency.
  • Communicate effectively and timely with program participants and parents.
  • Role model member engagement behaviors.
  • Promote other YMCA programs by handing out brochures, answering questions, or referral to appropriate person.
  • Perform any duties deemed necessary by supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university preferred
  • High School diploma or GED and 18 years of age required
  • Prior knowledge and minimum of two years of experience in membership required, 3 years preferred
  • Demonstrate ability to develop and teach skills
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Obtain and maintain all new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire
