Founded in 1969, the National Council for Mental Wellbeing (National Council) is a membership organization that drives policy and social change on behalf of nearly 3,200 mental health and substance use treatment organizations and the more than 10 million children, adults, and families they serve. Position Summary

As the Membership Coordinator, you will support membership activities including member recruitment and retention, education, and engagement. You will also have daily responsibility of membership database activities and data collection and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service to members and potential members by assisting them with queries and requests with respect to any aspect of the National Council’s work.
  • Manage membership CRM database and other related and integrated member platforms
  • Generate regular membership reports for distribution to the Senior Leadership Team and staff
  • Manage annual dues invoicing process
  • Coordinate with state association executives on member data and recruitment.
  • Respond to member requests for information internally and externally
  • Support the development of resources to support the membership team
  • Complete administrative tasks such as invoice processing, call notes, scheduling, and materials preparation
  • Coordinate logistics for in-person and virtual meetings

Required Qualifications

  • Two+ years of professional work experience in developing and implementing association membership programs and initiatives
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent additional two years’ of work experience
  • Understanding of association member services and programs within a member focused non-profit organization
  • Proficient with CRM software; Microsoft Dynamic highly preferred
  • Familiarity with video conferencing, e-communication tools, and Excel; Higher Logic experience highly preferred
  • Strong customer service and collaboration skills
  • Experience using and analyzing data to understand current membership needs and to predict future membership opportunities
  • Demonstrable experience as a relationship builder with the ability to quickly earn the respect of multiple constituencies, both internally and externally
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Passion for mental health and/or substance use treatment and recovery
  • Healthcare association background preferred
