Member Care Specialist

You must reside 4 hours from San Rafael California to be considered for the role.

About the Position:

• A full time, five day a week, eight hours a day position. You must be able to work all shifts. Call Center hours are Mondays-Fridays from 8 am to 6 pm.
• Providing exceptional customer service
• Helping members understand and select from among their medical and dental plan options
• Identifying physicians, dentists, hospitals, behavioral health care and wellness services appropriate to members’ needs, geographical location, and benefit plans
• Assisting with troubleshooting insurance authorizations and claims issues.
• Advocating on behalf of members with health plan disputes by assisting with appeals and grievances

The successful candidate will have:

• A caring and compassionate nature with superior, patient focused customer service skills
• Call Center or face to face customer service experience in a fast-paced setting
• The ability to do web-based research and document interventions in computer system
• The ability to multi-task, be organized, and to juggle multiple cases
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A professional approach to representing CareCounsel with members, providers, brokers, and insurance carriers.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-2 years’ experience working in Human Resources, a health benefits brokerage, with an insurance carrier, or in a healthcare provider’s office.
• Comfortable with creating and using Microsoft Outlook and Word documents, comfortable with navigating existing documents in Excel and Power Point.
• Self-motivated

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,760.00 - $56,160.00 per year
