Responsibilities:

Team Select Home Care is looking for a Medical Records Lead to join our Team Select family. The Medical Records Lead provides administrative support to the billing department by carrying out responsibilities in some or all of the following areas: medical records, reception, physician orders as assigned. The Medical Records Lead reports directly to the Manager of Revenue Cycle Management (MRCM).

  • Verify and file medical records.
  • Complete receptionist tasks as assigned and any other tasks as assigned.
  • Verify and track physician orders and inform management of late orders and need for more action on orders.
  • Receives/ processes visit notes, orders and any other required documentation.
  • Track issues with medical records through the appropriate workflow and notifies correct departments of issues.
  • Faxes orders, processes orders in appropriate EMR.
  • Verify accurate requirements are met for orders and records.
  • Process EOE, consent and other workflow.
  • Obtain F2F and verify accuracy of all F2F requirements.
  • Contact physicians and providers to request documentation and signatures to meet requirements of payers.
  • Run applicable reports to maintain branches and workflow.
  • Regular communication with appropriate staff and management of potential issues.
  • Work to resolve issues and troubleshoot independently and with team before escalating issues.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and work to resolve issues.
  • Ongoing process improvement.
  • Coordinate coverage and cross training for the Team
  • Ongoing training and mentor-ship with team.
  • Handle important accounts and projects, coordinating with management, operations, and payers to ensure issues are resolved.
  • Monitor reports for thresholds set forth by your department.
  • Lead medical records meetings with management, branches and staff.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of accredited high school or GED required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in health-related administration.
  • One year in a leadership role.
  • Participate with management on process improvements.
  • Train and support team members as assigned
