Denver Mental Health Collective is looking for a medical receptionist to join our growing practice in Denver, Colorado. The receptionist supports DMHC’s mission by helping potential clients access services and works with clients from the first contact until after their first session. The receptionist ensures that DMHC clinicians' schedules are full with clients they’re most skilled at helping. *RESPONSIBILITIES* *

* Responds to all incoming referrals for new clients and assists with client registration;

* Ensures that all openings for new clients are filled and the appointment is kept;

* Maintains intake and referral databases;

* Coordinates and completes consultation calls with potential clients and places them with an appropriate therapist;

* Make appropriate selections/matches from client to clinician based on areas of specialization and expertise;

* Performs daily review of clinic schedules and miscellaneous clerical duties to ensure proper patient flow in the clinic.

* Provides appropriate referrals to the community when we do not fit the client’s needs;

* Follows up with all referral sources regarding the status of the appointment;

* Enters all new client information into electronic health records systems accurately;

* Uses systems to verify active insurance and related information. Provide insurance information to the client before or during scheduling the first appointment;

* Schedules client’s first appointment with urgency;

* Communicate with clients in regard to what they should expect, what items to bring to their first appointment, etc.

* Calls any new client 48 hours in advance to confirm the appointment and ensure that the client knows our correct address and how to get here.

* Communicate with clients after the first appointment ensuring their needs were met and they were satisfied with their placement. Make adjustments as needed;

* Builds relationships with community partners to nurture a professional relationship;

* Coordinates with the clinic staff to release all requested records release, following the clinic’s established processes and HIPAA guidelines;

* Reach out to community partners to ensure their satisfaction with DMHC services;

* Assist the Administrative Director and staff to ensure the clinic’s smooth daily operations.

*Minimum Qualifications: *

* High School diploma or GED;

* Two (2) years of experience, with at least one (1) year in a customer-facing role;

* Ability to work out of our Denver office;

*Preferred Qualifications: *

* Three (3) or more years of experience in patient-facing administrative support;

* Experience working in mental health or medical practice;

* Experience working with 3rd-party payers, coding, billing, posting, and adjudication of claims.

* Experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting financial data.

* Warm and inviting personality, excellent with phone and email communication;

* Creative and analytical in approach to problem-solving;

* Detail-oriented, organized, and goal-driven;

* Proficient in Google Workspace & GSuite

*Competencies: *

* Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, and the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act.

* Must have deductive reasoning skills and the ability to interpret charts and graphs.Ability to multitask, prioritization skills, teamwork, and outstanding customer service.

* Ability to maintain familiarity with the clinical staff members and layout of the facility to assist patients/visitors.

* Must be familiar with general office equipment (i.e., fax, copier, shredder, scanner, telephone, etc.).

* Must be personable, friendly, and work well under pressure, especially when assisting patients.

* The individual in this position maintains a positive attitude and high level of professionalism to uphold our image to the public.

*Salary & Benefits* The salary range (or hiring range) for this position is $17 - $19 per hour. Pay is hourly plus pay-for-performance bonuses. This position is eligible for overtime.

Denver Mental Health Collective has an excellent benefits package including great health benefits, PTO, and paid holidays. The schedule for this position is regular eight-hour shifts, five days a week. This position is located in our Denver office. The ideal candidate will work out of our physical location daily.
