Job description
Medical Office Receptionist Job Responsibilities:
Serves patients by greeting, checking-in, and helping them; taking payments; maintaining patient records and accounts. We are looking for someone that is willing to cross train in the clinical area to help the nurses take patients in and out and turn over recovery bays.
Medical Office Receptionist Job Duties:
- Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
- Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying appropriate provider of patient's arrival; calling patients who are late; informing patients of service delays.
- Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions or directing them to the appropriate personnel; maintaining the reception area.
- Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
- Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information; recording and collecting patient charges.
- Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
- Adhering to HIPPA guidelines, rules, and regulations. Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
- Scan patient charts into electronic medical records system.
- Making sure visitors/representatives sign in at the front desk and get a visitor badge.
- Accepting/signing for packages at the front desk.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
