Job description

Seeking a medical assistant to work 4 days a week, specifically (M, T, W, Th; 7:50AM-5:00PM). Setting is a small private practice podiatry clinic in Waukee (Wednesday's in Indianola).

Duties Include: Reviewing medical histories, entering medical histories in to EMR, taking x-rays, rooming the patient, sterilization of instruments, maintaining sterilization equipment with weekly checks, supply inventory, stocking the exam rooms, maintenance of exam room (disinfecting after each patient leaves), scheduling surgeries at outpatient facilities, handling patient referrals, checking in/out patients, scanning doccuments, gathering demographic info and insurance info, amongst other assisting duties.

Requirments: Self-motivated, an independent worker, organized, efficient, catches on to tasks easily without much instruction, and someone who can effectively learn and utilize new skills and must display a professional appearance. Must be proficient in the use of computers and other office machines (i.e.: scanners, fax machines and printers). Must work the scheduled hours, be reliable and able to pass a background check.

Pay will start at $16/hour with raise incentive during 90 day review and yearly thereafter. Please submit applications by email on Indeed. Interviews will be held via Indeed video chat.

The work hours will be 7:50AM-5:00PM Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday with an hour lunch break daily from 1-2:00PM (ish). Please note, Wednesday hours are 8:50AM-4:00PM in the Indianola clinic; same lunch break time.
