Job description

Come join our team! We are looking for a Medical Data Entry Clerk to type information into our EHR (Electronic Health Records) system from paper patient charts. The ideal candidate will be computer savvy and a fast typist with a keen eye for detail. You will report to the office manager or office supervisor.

Job Details for Medical Data Entry Clerk:

  • Work Location: Thousand Oaks, CA
  • Schedule: Mon-Fri, 40/hrs. a/wk.
  • Starting Hourly Pay: $18/hr.
  • Job-Length: Contract Assignment, 3-6 months

Responsibilities for our Medical Data Entry Clerk:

  • Scanning patient paper charts into EMR / EHR database.
  • Typing in patient chart data directly into EMR / EHR database.
  • Verify data by comparing it to source documents.
  • Update existing data if needed.
  • Retrieve medical records from EMR / EHR system as requested

Preferred Skills for our Medical Data Entry Clerk:

  • Familiar with EMR / EHR systems
  • Fast typing skills
  • Knowledge of touch typing system is strongly preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
  • Great attention to detail High school degree or equivalent
