Discount Drug Mart is seeking a full-time, Customer Service Representative for our corporate PME&S office in Medina, Ohio!

Individuals with knowledge of durable medical equipment (DME), customer service experience, patient care, office assistance, or has knowledge of the medical field tend to do well in this role.

• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:30am-6:00pm along with occasional Saturdays.

Responsibilities and Duties of Customer Service Representative:

• Understands all requirements for home medical equipment and supplies along with insurance verification and inventory management
• Maintains a professional manner through the use of knowledgeable, helpful and dependable behavior in all interactions with customers, referrals, and team members
• Obtain necessary documentation to process orders, create purchase orders and receive purchase orders
• Become well-versed in a variety of therapies and durable medical equipment products to best assist customers and physicians
• Documents all customer interactions in the appropriate system
• Maintain and operate standard office equipment
• Perform related duties as assigned by management

Qualifications for Medical Customer Service Representative:

• High School diploma is required
• Must have organization and problem solving skills along with a keen attention to detail
• Previous experience and/or training in a customer service or a medical field preferred, but not required
• Working Conditions/Physical Demands: May include long periods of sitting along with ability to lift up to 30lbs
• Must be able to understand directions, communicate and respond to inquiries; requires effective interpersonal skills
• Effective communication skills by telephone and email
• Must be able to multi-task while using good judgement
