The most comprehensive urology practice in Norther Nevada seeks an addition to its knowledgeable coding team.

Medical Coder, Surgeries and Hospital Rounds, full time Remote Position

Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM

Duties:

Demonstrate working knowledge of medical coding in a fast paced coding environment.

Accurately abstract selected data elements from clinical encounters, hospital progress notes, and operative reports and apply CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes according to the official coding guidelines.

Adhere to government policies and insurance guidelines.

Informs management of any issues or concerns regarding documentation in the medical record.

Collaborates with team members to ensure all cases are coded within timeframes specified by the practice management.

Maintains a coding compliance and accuracy rate of 95% or better.

Answer the dedicated patient phone line between 8 AM and 5 PM to assist patients with their concerns, accept payments, etc.

Experience:

2 years preferred experience with the coding of hospital services, including but not limited to, surgeries, hospital rounds, etc.

Coding certification preferred but not required.

Systems used:

Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, Mitel, athenaNet

Location:

Remote, located within the Reno, NV area, with possibility of some meetings in the office.
