Job description

We are seeking an individual seasoned in Medical Billing who enjoys the rigors of following up on denied insurance claims and successfully turning that denial into revenue.

• Generate new claims and review denied and correct and resubmit claims and appeals.
• Assist with preparation and submission of claims to Medicare, Medi-Cal, Secondary Payers PPO, HMO electronically as well as by paper.
• Submit statement of accounts to patients.
• Manage all billing situations and respond to patient and insurance company needs.
• Effectively communicate with patients and insurances for payment of claims.
• Regularly communicate and follow-up with customers to ensure prompt payment, utilizing phone calls and emails in a professional manner.
• Maintain aging under 90 days, produce accurate billing and aging reports.
• Investigate rejected claim to see why denial was issued.
• Investigate insurance fraud and report if found.

Qualifications:

• Experience would be preferred.
• Must be experienced in full cycle of medical billing, including collections, working aging reports and following up on denied claims.
• Punctual and a team player; detail oriented and well organized; skills to organize, prioritize and coordinate workload to meet deadlines .

Pay: $15.00 per hour

• ICD-10: 1 year (Preferred)
• CPT Coding: 1 year (Preferred)
• Medical Billing: 1 year (Preferred)
