Job description

A very busy physician's office is looking for an experienced medical billing and collection manager to oversee a team of 5 collectors and 8 coordination specialists. Duties include but are not limited to running all AR aging reports from the EMR system, overseeing daily collections for the physician clinics as well as the ASC centers to ensure we are collecting the correct reimbursement according to our payor contracts. Review and monitor all billing for physician and the ACS centers to ensure daily billing is current, coach and mentor staff , review and approve time and attendance. This role will be in person at our Cerritos location.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

• Proficient in ASC/Physician billing claims for Medicare, Medicaid, and all Managed Care payor sources.

• Associates Degree in Business or equivalent to work experience , Finance or Accounting

• Multiple years’ experience in the business office in the healthcare field.

• 2+ years’ experience in management and multi-facility oversight role preferred.

• Demonstrate an understanding of healthcare management, including staffing and leadership

• Communicate effectively with healthcare workers, patients and insurance companies

• Able to prioritize and organize tasks at hand to meet specific deadlines.

• Strong attention to detail, positive attitude and a proven ability to lead a team to success.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.

• Knowledge of state regulations.

• Presentation skills desirable.

• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Able to work with a diverse group of people.

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced office environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31.00 - $35.00 per hour
