Medical Billing & Collecting company seeking a full time, experienced vascular billing and coding specialist. Competitive pay with benefits. Allscripts experience is required. Position is remote until office space becomes available.

LOCATION: Remote / Memphis Metro Area
HOURS: 8-5 M-F

The Medical Billing/Coding Specialist is responsible for:

• Troubleshooting and resolve billing issues, rejections, denials, and appeals.
• Working with Medicaid and any other governmental or commercial insurance carriers to resolve claim errors and responds to billing questions from internal and external sources.
• Reviewing billing charges and other data for accuracy and potential reimbursement enhancement.
• Running, reviewing, and summarizing reports for billing and reimbursement.
• Remaining up to date on billing guidelines.
• Working collaboratively with clinical and health information systems staff as well as with Projects & Business Technology staff regarding billing revisions in the electronic billing system.
• Working as part of a cross-functional team to ensure all services provided are billed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Handling sensitive and confidential information appropriately and in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Experience/Requirements:

• Allscripts experience is REQUIRED
• Vascular experiene is REQUIRED
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Two (1) years of medical insurance billing experience
• Two (2) years of Outpatient Billing and coding knowledge
• Three (3) years of billing experience and coding denial resolution
• Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations and impact on practice operations
• Basic proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Understanding of computer networks, operations and Practice Management applications including Electronic Health Records (EHR)
• CPB Certified Professional Biller or CPC Certified Professional Coder
