Job description

Primary/Urgent Care practice with three offices. eight providers and a broad scope of services seeks experienced medical biller to handle all aspects of billing and collections. Must live within commuting distance of Flemington, NJ as this is not a remote position.

Responsibilities:

• Timely and accurate payment posting
• Reconciliation of daily posting
• Submission of electronic and paper claims
• Claims follow-up and appeals
• Answering billing-related phone calls and questions in a professional, timely manner
• Review of charges for proper coding
• Running and review of Contract Analysis Reports to ensure accurate reimbursement
• Contract updates
• Miscellaneous special projects

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years medical billing experience
• Knowledge of ICD10 and CPT codes
• Strong awareness of HIPAA guidelines and data security
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well with team members and interact will all departments
• Proficiency in payment posting and understanding Explanations of Benefits
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Strong computer and data entry skills
• Experience/comfort level with making collections calls to insurance companies, businesses and patients
• Self-motivated, energetic team player
• Knowledge of NextGen a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
