We are a Psychiatric practice providing mental health services to the St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Sarasota/Lakewood Ranch, and Bradenton areas. As a quickly growing organization, we are looking to add another hardworking, reliable, and motivated Medical Assistant / TMS Technician / TMS Treater to our organization!

There is a lot of room for personal and professional growth within the organization as we are continually growing and adding on additional medical providers and locations.

We are looking for this Medical Assistant / TMS Technician / TMS Treater to be primarily officing out of our St. Petersburg location, but, this person may also have the opportunity to work at some of our other locations too, when coverage is needed there. We are hoping to hire someone who will be able to work for us M-F 40-50 hours/weekly (with overtime pay)!

This Medical Assistant / TMS Technician / TMS Treater will be directly responsible for helping administer this FDA-approved (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) TMS treatment to patients. The technician will first be trained by our Medical Director to properly administer these in-patient therapeutic medical treatments under the direction and supervision of our Medical Director and other Medical Personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • New Patient Triage and Lead Management
  • Verify TMS Insurance Benefits for Patients
  • Performing Insurance Required Pre-Authorizations for TMS Treatments for Patients
  • Check-In Activities / Check-Out Activities
  • Collecting Copays & Coinsurance from TMS Patients
  • Patient Scheduling
  • Maintain Patient Treatment Schedule Spreadsheet
  • Administer Therapeutic Treatments to TMS patients (you will be trained by the Medical Director and other Medical Personnel to be a certified TMS Technician / TMS Treater)
  • Perform Equipment Positioning for TMS Treatment Sessions
  • Assist Medical Director and other Medical Professionals with Mappings and/or Remappings
  • Demonstrate a Culture of Compassion for Patients
  • Provide a Welcoming, Pleasant Environment during Patient Therapeutic Treatment Sessions
  • Answer Questions from Patients Regarding TMS Therapeutic Treatments
  • Address any Patient Discomfort During Treatment Sessions
  • Monitor for / Report any Side Effects that may Require Medical Assistance from Medical Director and/or other Medical Professional Staff Members
  • Communicate Treatment Progress / Patient Needs Effectively with Medical Director and/or other Medical Professional or Staff Members to Address Patient Needs
  • Enter Patient TMS Progress Notes for Each Therapeutic Treatment Session
  • Update Patient PHQ9’s Weekly
  • Utilizing our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Kareo System

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree (Preferred)
  • 3 years of medical office experience
